All I want for my 30th birthday is a drink…

Update: We did it!!  Thanks to you, we raised $5,006 - enough money to supply clean water to an entire community! This is the best birthday gift I could possibly receive. Tears in my eyes. Heart full of grattitude. I’ll be sure to keep you posted on how your contributions will be used to help those who need it the most, so stay tuned. THANK YOU!

All I want for my 30th birthday is a drink.

...not a fancy margarita or a glass of wine (though that would be nice)

…not a beer or a Coke or a tall glass of sweet tea

…just a simple drink of clean water for someone who desperately needs it.

Today is my 30th birthday…a big one… and I can think of no better way to celebrate than to resume our fundraising efforts for Charity:Water. The Rally to Restore Unity already brought in a whopping $3,181, which means we’ve raised 60% of what is needed to fund a clean water project FOR AN ENTIRE VILLAGE! My birthday wish is to get one step closer to our goal. We have just 47 days left before the fundraising page expires.

So if you’ve enjoyed my blog or my book or my self-indulgent tweets over the past few years, please consider buying me a “drink” for my 30th birthday. Just $5 goes a long way. In fact, if every subscriber gave $5, we would far surpass our goal!

Donate here.

Thanks once again for the all the encouragement, insight, and ideas you have brought to this community. You’ve made my twenties richer! I look forward to what the thirties hold.
