Ask a Muslim...

I’m so excited to bring back our popular “Ask a...” series, beginning with one of our most requested interviews: Ask a Muslim.

Khurram Dara is an American Muslim from Buffalo, New York, and the author of “The Crescent Directive:  An Essay on Improving the Image of Islam in America.” Khurram graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, and is currently studying law at Columbia University in New York. If you frequent CNN’s Belief Blog, you may recognize him for hisrecent post there defending TLC’s “All American Muslim” against Muslim complaints. You can follow Khurram on Twitter and find the Crescent Directive on Facebook.

You know the drill: If you have a question for Khurram, leave it in the comment section. At the end of the day, I’ll pick the top seven or eight questions and send them to Khurram. We'll post his response next week.  Be sure to take advantage of the “like” feature so that we can get a sense of what questions are of most interest to readers.

Please remember the point of our interview series is not to debate or challenge, but to ask the sort of questions that will help us understand one another better. I’ll be monitoring the comment section to make sure the questions are civil and fair. (You can check out the rest of the interview series—which includes an atheist, a Mormon, a humanitarian, an evolutionary creationist, a Catholic, an Orthodox Jew, a gay Christian, a Quaker, and more—here.)

Ask away!
